West Valley Drumworks was created to make drumming (And drum lessons) accessible, meaningful, and loud—to ALL abilities. WVDW was founded by Jordy Elcess, a passionate drummer and dedicated educator based in Goodyear, Arizona. With over 15 years behind the kit and years of teaching experience, Jordy brings both skill and heart to every lesson he gives. He specializes in drum instruction for individuals of all ages and abilities — with a deep focus on supporting students with special needs through tailored, empowering, and fun learning experiences.

Jordy’s music career spans stage, studio, and label work. He was an original member of the power metal band Judicator, signed to Prosthetic Records, and has toured extensively across the U.S. and Canada. His session work includes collaborations with artists across a wide range of genres, and he has contributed his expertise at Desert Sol Records.
